If you are unsure whether you already have Zango installed on your computer, check out your system tray, if there is this icon:

Also, if you notice Zango's toolbar in your browser (internet explorer, or firefox), then Zango is installed on your computer.

How to completely remove Zango?

1) Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel (WinXP), or Start, Control Panel, Programs and Features

2) Double click on Add/Remove Programs (WinXP)

3) Find "Zango" in the list of installed programs and click on Change/Remove to uninstall it.

4) There may also be a program called Media Gateway, which is part of older Zango's installations. Remove it as well.

5) Once uninstallation starts, you will see screen like this:

You need to check both Zango toolbar and Search Assistant before clicking Next to complete the uninstall.

6) Reboot your Computer

7) Install a program like Spy Bot Search and Destroy, AdAware or HijackThis, scan computer and remove any entries found (there will be some belonging to Zango). You only need one application, as any of these three will find all Zango's remains.

Zango should be now completely uninstalled from your computer.

9) If for somee reason, Zango did perform clean uninstall, download Zango Unistaller Tool and run it.

If later you decide you want to play the games or watch the videos on Zango or partner's site, you'll have to reinstall Zango.
